Our Centre for People, Performance and Organisational Development is where we run many of our open development programmes. They are designed to support the work of individuals, teams and organisations who wish to attend development outside of their own organisational environment. They are a great place to meet other people and learn from their experiences.
We have a fantastic building located at the Drewton Estate near South Cave in East Yorkshire where people can come and take the time away from work that they need to work on their performance and development.
The work of the centre is focussed broadly on behavioual, skill and knowledge development in the area of organisational performance and development.
They key facets of this for us are the ability to:
- Lead strategically
- Facilitate change at a behavioual level
- Coach for performance and development
- Utilise collaborative consultancy as an organisational intervention
We have collaboratively designed a number of programmes that enable practitioners in Human Resources, Organisational Development and Senior Leadership to gain practical experiential development in these key areas at an
- Introductory level
- Certificate level
- Diploma level

Our programmes are supported by accreditation routes with industry lead bodies such as the Chartered Management Institute, the Institute of Consulting and the Association for Coaching.
In addition to this we are building relationships with Teesside University to support formally validated academic programmes where this is of value to you as a prospective client. These programmes are currently developing as Post Graduate Certificates and Diplomas.
During 2011/12 we are taking our first steps towards moving the centre from a centre to an Institute to be approved by the Secretary for State in Performance and Organisational Development.
Underpinning this is the upcoming appointment of an Institute Director and a shift in the balance of the work of the centre to increase the amount of collaborative research work undertaken in the key sectors that the organisation works with Police, Health and Private.
